My Story
My Story
Hello! My name is Sarah and I am originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Prior to starting on my journey to becoming a therapist I studied Theatre Arts. After finishing my undergraduate degree I spent a few years living abroad teaching English in South Korea. During this time I was trying my best to manage my own anxieties, panic, and insecurities. Eventually through learning to embrace my imperfections I began to realize my intrinsic self-worth. The work I do today as a therapist mirrors this journey. I hope to empower my clients to truly love themselves and embrace life fully.

I have worked in a multitude of settings with a diverse range of clientele. My therapy externship took place at the Care Clinic of The University of Maryland Medical Center where I provided trauma-informed care to adolescent survivors of abuse and neglect. I then went on to provide behavioral therapy at The Theodore House in Baltimore treating adults overcoming substance-abuse. I have also gained experience providing in-home psychotherapy services to individuals with Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, and Schizophrenia.
